Controlled Democracy     (October 2002)
                       The general elections are just a few days away. It is time to reflect on the ups and downs that Pakistan has suffered trough the years. The past three years have seen Pakistan going from the backer of Taliban and Kashmiri militants to being the front line state in the war against terror. Courtesy the terror attacks of 9/11.

Cyber Cafe                      (September 2002)
                      What exactly is a cyber café? The question arises. In plain terms it would mean an establishment that doubles as an Internet access point, as well as, a café. This is not so in Pakistan. As in everything else this is a borrowed term (you know from where).

Election 2002-i                  (October 2002)
                 The date of election is announced by the President of Pakistan. However, the election schedule for the conduct of General Elections to the National and the Provincial Assemblies is set by the Election Commission in accordance with the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1976.

Women Election                      (September 2002)
                        Women are more then 50% population of our country. In the up coming elections 2002 the reserved seats for women are increased. Previously there were 20 seats reserved for women in national assembly now there are 60 seats for them. In provincial assemblies there were collectively seats 23 for women and now this figure is 128
